ISLAMABAD: Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Greg Giokas greeted Pakistanis on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

“I would like to extend warm greetings to Muslims in Pakistan and around the world as they gather for the holy feast of sacrifice, Eidul Azha. Canada is home to more than one million Muslims, who play a central role in the Canadian free, prosperous and peaceful pluralistic society”.

“As families prepare to celebrate, I am reminded of the importance of compassion for those less fortunate and who may be suffering, including the millions in Pakistan affected by conflict and natural disasters.  In the spirit of self-reflection, understanding and generosity, which are central to Islam, and values shared by Canadians, I offer my best wishes for health, peace, and happiness to all those celebrating Eidul Azha,” he concluded.
