CAA recovers billions of rupees from different airlines

KARACHI: Civil Aviation Authority has raised revenue of billions of rupees by recovering dues from different airlines, revealed CAA Director General Air Marshall (R) Mohammad Yousuf, while addressing the Authority’s employees.

The CAA director general announced that fully-equipped with security gadgets, the new Multan Airport would be completed by the end of December this year, adding, “New runways will be constructed very soon at the Islamabad Airport, besides installing new radars to handle growing air traffic.”

He further said that extension of the terminal building at Quetta Airport would be completed within one year and renovation of Peshawar Airport would also be carried out as per international standards.

Yousuf also announced increment in salaries and approval of bonus packages for the employees.
