2 vessels to arrive at Karachi Port today

KARACHI: As Pakistanis continue celebrating the Eid-ul-Azha with traditional religious fervor for the third day, the shipping industry comprising the shipping agents and all the other relevant stakeholders including the port operators and the Customs authorities keep the wheels of national trade in motion.

Activities at Karachi Port continue today to ensure that the imported cargoes reach their ultimate destinations timely.

A ship loaded with 9,986 tons of steel imports was expected to arrive yesterday while another two cargo vessels are expected to call at the Karachi Port, the premier port of the country, today, the third and the final official Eid holiday.

According to details Nasco Jade, a vessel loaded with 9,986 tons of steel imports, expected to arrive at the Karachi Port yesterday.

Meanwhile two more vessels namely Zi Jing Song and an oil tanker Admore Centurion are expected to arrive at the Karachi Port on October 8.

The vessel Zi Jing Song would be carrying 4,428 tons of general cargo imports while the oil tanker Admore Centurion would be hauling a cargo of 20,000 tons of mogas.

A vehicle carrier Liberty Pride is expected to arrive at the Karachi Port on October 10 carrying an import cargo of 202 units.
