ISLAMABAD: All the four provincial governments have shown grave reservations on withholding tax imposed by federal government in federal budget 2015-16.
According to sources, all the four provincial governments have showed strong concerns and reservations over withholding tax and termed it as overburden on provincial taxes.
Sources told Customs Today that these concerns were shown during working group meeting of the NFC award.
In the meeting, it is decided that that they will forward a proposal to review the implementation of withholding tax to the federal government.
The meeting of working group of NFC held under the chairmanship of Saleem Mandiwala. The working group also demanded the federal government to call the meeting of 9th NFC and distribute the revenue reward among provinces at the earliest.
