Poland to spend PLN107b on road construction program to 2023

WARSAW: The Polish government will spend some PLN 107 billion on building some 3,900 kilometers of high-speed roads in the 2014-2023 timeframe, Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz said during a joint press conference with Infrastructure Minister Maria Wasiak.

The program will also encompass the construction of 57 road by-passes of cities as well as a PLN 4 billion program of improving safety on roads, the PM said. Priority investments will include expressways S7 (Gdansk-Cracow), S6 (Gdansk-Szczecin), S17 (Warsaw-Lublin), and S19 (Rzeszow-Lublin), the PM said.
