LAHORE: All Pakistan Tax Employees Association, Inspectors of Inland Revenues, has expressed disappointment on the stay order against their promotions of Inspectors Inland Revenue by the auditors of the Inland Revenue from the Islamabad High Court.

The Inland Revenue Inspectors submitted the Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) to Federal Board of Revenue for promotions of senior inspectors, who already serves the department for more than 20 years.

The inspectors said that they are most seniors and working in BS-16 from 1985 as Inspector Inland Revenue and were very much satisfied after the step taken by FBR for their promotions.

But now auditors succeeded in getting temporarily stay order. The process of promotions has been stopped for a specified period by the department after the court order.

The auditors got stay order on the grounds that Federal Board of Revenue should promote auditors as assistant commissioner, deputy commissioner, and commissioner instead of manager’s cadres.
