Chamber of Digital Commerce aims to promote digital assets

WASHINGTON:The Chamber of Digital Commerce, the first Washington, DC-based trade association representing the digital asset industry that aims to promote the acceptance and use of digital assets and related technologies, has decided to hire the services from Gide, a full service public affairs consulting firm.Gide is expected to help the Chamber build effective government relations, communications and business development strategies that advance strategic growth and sustainability goals regarding the digital currencies. In a press release Gide claims that it will support the Chamber in advancing its state legislative and regulatory agenda.

Nonetheless, the announcement from Gide and the Chamber of Digital Commerce that they are entering into a strategic partnership in which Gide will support the Chamber in its state level legislative and regulatory agenda, is being considered a welcome development. The partnership will also help the digital currency gets legitimacy and popularity among users.Talking about the partnership Gide principal Maria Perrin said that her company’s mission is to help startups that operate in highly regulated areas navigate government roadblocks. She further added that the digital currency industry is at a critical juncture as states such as California, North Carolina and New York start to create a regulatory framework that is not always friendly to the industry.

She further added that her company looking forward to helping advance the great work the Chamber of Digital Commerce has already done in this area, and ensure we proactively work with lawmakers to produce outcomes that support the growth of Bitcoin and blockchain technologies.Similar views were shared by Perianne Boring, Founder and President of the Chamber of Digital Commerce who admitted that the Chamber is proud to have Gide as a strategic partner given their commitment to the digital currency industry. The Chamber has been entering into several other similar partnerships for the purpose.
