KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index recovered 529.69 points or 2.79 percent to reach 33474.17 points and volume of 166,164,180shares on Tuesday.
Earlier, the stocks Tuesday witnessed variation in early trading, however, KSE-100 index remained in green zone, by adding 22.12 points to reach 32966.60 points.
On Monday, the KSE nosedive during intra-day trading as the benchmark KSE 100-Index declined 946.60 points or 2.79pc to settle at 32,944.48 points. Falling volume is also a concern for speculators. Volume on Friday touched 10 weeks low and Monday’s volume was 218m shares of Rs.10.6b ($102m) shares which is lower than average of 286m shares of value of Rs.13b ($130m) for this year, researchers at Topline Securities stated.
High and low were 33506.00 and 32646.74 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 166,164,180 shares.
