Abu Dhabi Chamber to organise ‘UAE-Indonesia Business Forum’

ABU DHABI: In cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising the UAE-Indonesia Business Forum this coming Sunday at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The forum is aimed at expanding the scope of cooperation and to strengthen the economic and investment relations between the UAE and Indonesia. It will also inform companies and establishments desirous of investing in the two countries about the sectors that have promising investment opportunities, including the agriculture, energy, water, transportation, housing, tourism and telecommunications sectors.

Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of both the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the strong and deep economic and investment relations which tie the UAE with Indonesia, saying that Indonesia is considered an important trade partner of the UAE.

He also pointed to the importance of organising the UAE-Indonesia Business Forum and its role in motivating investors from the UAE and Indonesia to work together towards bringing economic relations to new levels and increasing the volume of trade exchange through holding joint investment projects, especially in the sectors that are envisioned by Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 and its strategic plans to diversify income resources and building an economy based on knowledge.

“This forum represents a distinguished opportunity for companies and businessmen from the UAE and Indonesia to take a closer look at the available investment opportunities, incentives and facilities which the related authorities in the two countries provide,” he said, emphasising the interest of Emirati companies to invest in Indonesian markets and increase their presence there in addition to strengthening their partnerships with Indonesian companies which possess advanced technologies.

Al-Rumaithi pointed out that the forum will contribute towards pushing the wheel of economic and investment relations forward and speeding economic growth in both countries as well as serving the interests of companies, businessmen and investors in the UAE and Indonesia.

A large number of ministers and senior officials in the UAE and Indonesia will take part in the forum in addition to heads and managers of public and private institutions.

The event will showcase the available investment opportunities for companies and establishments of the private sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE as well as presentations on the procedures of establishing investment projects and other related information on sectors with available investment opportunities in both the UAE and Indonesia.
