ANKARA: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the Higher Education Council (YÖK) of Turkey reaffirmed the commitment to further intensify their mutual collaboration and promote deeper links between the institutions of higher learning in the two countries. The reaffirmation came during the meeting between Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mahmood and the YÖK President, Prof. Dr. M.A. Yekta Saraç, in Ankara.

The discussions covered a broad range of subjects including strengthening the legal framework for increased HEC-YOK cooperation, exchange of high-level visits, increased interaction between Rectors/Vice Chancellors on both sides, steady follow-up on MoUs on collaboration between Turkish and Pakistani Universities, and faculty and student exchanges.
