FBR recovers Rs 1.8m from bank accounts of Nadeem Caterers

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen bank accounts of renowned catering and event organizing company of the city due to its alleged involvement in tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today that Nadeem Catering Company Faisal Town has been involved in tax evasion since 2012 and it is also defaulter of income tax.

After examining its sale record and bank statements, the Regional Tax Offic-II has decided to take action against the company.  The Regional Tax Offic-II Lahore sent many notices to Nadeem Catering Company to clear all their outstanding dues but the company did not pay any attention to these notices; not even replied to any notice.

After passage of grace period, the FBR froze bank accounts of Nadeem Caterers and took all their business into  custody. Now the FBR will deal all customers itself and will recover all pending amounts as well. On the other hand, Rs 1.8 million has also been recovered from the company’s bank accounts.
