Another notice hopes to attract consultancy services and engineering designs for the construction of four berths at Mtwara Port.
The TPA has set aside funds in the fiscal year 2015/16 towards the cost of cost of studies geared towards development of new ports.

The winning bidder will need to provide “detailed assessment of economic, financial, technical and environmental aspects” of the future developments whilst meeting the TPA’s cost and timescale requirements, it added.

The winner will assist in the tendering processes for the construction of one of the berths with a length of 300 m and thereafter, supervise the construction works for this berth.
