ISLAMABAD: Special Judge of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, Rana Aftab has refused the bail plea of a Chinese Engineer Jiachkoju allegedly involved in currency smuggling.
The Chinese engineer was arrested by customs officials before Eid at Islamabad airport following the recovery of $50,000.
Customs has informed the Chinese Embassy about the arrest of the engineers but no Chinese official has pursued the case so far.
On the other hand, Jiachkoju is claiming that he was unaware of the Pakistan’s law otherwise he used legal channels to transact the money.
