FOLKESTONE: Counterfeit clothes and illegal tobacco have been taken by Kent Police from a house in Folkestone.
Kent Police found 167 different items at the house in Ingoldsby Road, Folkestone and a 38 year old man has been interviewed.
The search was planned to coincide with the national week-long crime prevention campaign targeting rouge traders and forceful doorstep sellers.
Kent Police officers joined up with Trading Standards officials to visit four properties on Wednesday 30.
Superintendent Lee Russell from Kent Police said: “‘This week of focused action builds on our existing partnership working with Trading Standards.
“Although no arrests have been made, a large quantity of evidence has been seized for further testing and to assist with on-going investigations.”
“It should send a clear message to rogue traders that their idea of business will not be tolerated in Kent.”
