Customs sees decline in collection of customs duty during Q1

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Rawalpindi has collected Rs 628.91 million in the terms of customs duty for the 3rd Quarter July to September, 2015.
As per details, Customs witnessed a slight decline of 4.2% as the collectorate has collected Rs 1.127 billion in the terms of customs duty in the same period last year.
While on the other hand MCC Islamabad has collected Rs 267.75 million in terms of customs duty for the 3rd Quarter July to September, 2015 while customs duty collected Rs 418.91 million of customs duty for the 3rd Quarter in 2014. This shows that the collectorate has seen a 34% of decline.
Meanwhile MCC Peshawar has collected customs duty of Rs1.313 billion for the 3rd Quarter July to September, 2015 as compare to customs duty collected of Rs1.253 billion for the 3rd Quarter of 2014.
