ISLAMABAD: McDonald’s Pakistan has marked 28 years of operations in the country by recognizing the local businesses and organizations that have contributed to the development of its supply chain and operations.
The partner recognition event brought together representatives from several key local partners, including Packages Limited, Big Bird, Nurpur, Pronto Spaces, Saima Packaging Fresh & Freeze, and the Zaman Foundation, highlighting the role of long-term collaborations in supporting the company’s growth in Pakistan.
Over nearly three decades, McDonald’s Pakistan has worked closely with its domestic partners to strengthen capabilities across sourcing, processing, packaging, food safety and supply-chain operations. The company’s approach has involved the development of local expertise and infrastructure to meet stringent quality and operational requirements.
The partnerships have also supported greater localisation within the business, with local suppliers developing specialised capabilities and upgrading their processes and infrastructure to meet international standards. This has contributed to building a more capable domestic supply network while supporting employment and technical skills across related sectors.
According to McDonald’s Pakistan, strong local partnerships remain an important part of maintaining consistency, quality and operational efficiency across its business.
The anniversary celebration therefore focused not only on McDonald’s 28-year presence in Pakistan, but also on the businesses and people working behind the scenes to support its operations and customer experience.
The event highlighted how sustained collaboration between multinational companies and local businesses can contribute to the development of domestic capabilities, stronger supply-chain practices and broader economic activity.
As McDonald’s Pakistan enters its 29th year, the company’s relationship with its local partners remains central to its continued operations and supply-chain development in the country.
