Customs seizes Rs 36m smuggled goods in Sept: AC Mohammad Raza

KARACHI: The Anti Smuggling Organization of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive has seized more than Rs 36 million smuggled goods in the month of September 2015.

Assistant Collector (Headquarters), MCC Preventive S Mohammad Raza Naqvi told Customs Today that the ASO seized contrabands and diesel worth Rs 36 million during the month of September 2015.

The customs authorities conducted several raids in different areas of the city recovering huge quantity of gutka, Iranian diesel, clothes etc, the AC added.

AC Raza said Pakistan Customs was maintaining close eye on the each and every single movement of the smugglers, adding that the smuggling had almost stopped.

The Customs, under the dynamic leadership of Chief Collector Enforcement South Zahid Khokhar were making all out efforts to stop all kinds of smuggling and the day is not far to materialize the dream, the assistant collector added.
