ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will review its promotion policy for the upgradation of superintendents and appraisers to BPS-17, sources said.
According to sources, the Establishment Division has written a letter to FBR, asking it to review the laws of upgradation. According to the upgradation law for BPS-17, FBR is bound to fill 75 percent seats by new hiring and the remaining 25 percent from in-house promotions.
It is pertinent to mention here that FBR had written a letter to the Establishment Division on the directions of high court for the upgradation of superintendents and appraisers to BPS-17. In reply, the Establishment Division has asked FBR to overview the laws and its structure of upgradation according to Civil Servant Act.
