KARACHI: Pakistan Customs authorities have finally decided to launch Electronic Data Interchange System from December 1, 2015 to curb under invoicing.
Sources of Customs House told Customs Today that the Pakistan Customs has signed an agreement with Chinese Customs authorities. This system will enable the Pakistan Customs to get all the information about consignments which will be imported from China such as quantity of products, actual prices and other relevant information.
Sources said that the Customs authorities will compare their data of Goods Declarations with Chinese authorities. Sources said that this system will help a lot to curb under invoicing. This system will be launched in English and Chinese languages to facilitate the importers and exporters of both the countries.
