Excise impounds 148 vehicles during general hold up‏ in Kasur

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 148 vehicles during a general hold up operation against token tax defaulters in Kasur.

Sources told Customs Today that Motor Vehicle branch of the Excise and Taxation Department district Kasur impounded these vehicles during operation against defaulters of token tax in Kasur City, Khudian Khas, Chunian, Ferozpur Road, Kanganpur and Alaa Abad. Four teams of Excise and Taxation Department participated in the general hold up operation in the district.

The Excise and Taxation Department has taken these vehicles into custody in jurisdiction of different police stations of the area. The general hold up operation was conducted under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer of Kasur Malik Muhammad Aslam.

The vehicles were impounded by Excise and Taxation Department on the basis of token short and the general hold up operation was conducted in wide-awake of recovery from token tax defaulters.
