Archipelago’s Russian salmon export business is now so pivotal to its economy that it formed a large chunk of debate around last month’s general election.

Iran is also looking to profit. According to Ministry of Jihad-e-Agriculture Bureau of International Affairs and Specialized Organizations director-general Hooman Fathi, there is now a market potential for third countries to export food items to Russia worth $40 billion per year.
