NEW YORK: A flight attendant attempted to smuggle nearly seven pounds of cocaine — in his spandex underwear, he admitted in federal court Wednesday.

Rohan Myers, 39, – who pleaded guilty to a drug smuggling charge in Fort Lauderdale – was a flight attendant for Caribbean Airlines’ flight 39 from Montego Bay, Jamaica, when he was pulled aside for acting ‘very nervous’ after landing at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Sept. 8, the Sun Sentinel reported.

When U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers searched his belongings, the panty pirate then allegedly started sweating “profusely” as they questioned him about a pair of athletic compression pants in his luggage and finally cracked saying “I have cocaine on me; I’m supposed to take it to the hotel.”

After conducting a strip search, four black molded inserts of cocaine were found duct-taped to his legs underneath the stretchy undies, according to court records filed by agents from U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations.

Myers admitted that it was his first attempt to illegally import drugs and that a man had approached him in Jamaica who promised to reward him with a tempting sum of $10,000 for the daring deed, he said.

The crook is currently in jail where he will await his sentence in January. He is expected to serve approximately three years in federal prison.
