LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 cases on Friday and adjourned all the cases for next hearing.
On Friday, at least 21 cases were scheduled for hearing including pre-arrest bail pleas filed by accused persons. The court heard bail pleas of Shahzad Ahmad, Ijaz Khan and Muhammad Hussain.
The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.
The court also recorded the statements of witnesses in four different cases. The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.
Now, the court will remain close for two days on the eve of local bodies’ election in Lahore and 11 other districts of Punjab including Gujrat, Faisalabad, Kasur and Okara.
