World Bank still not issued funds to FBR for data warehouse

ISLAMABAD: The establishment of data warehouse/bank in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) could not be implemented so far as World Bank has not released funds for the project.

According to the sources, the FBR was set to start working for developing data bank and buying equipments in November but as the funds are not issued yet, the project is just limited to paperwork. The sources added that the FBR would start the establishment of projects in December of this year.

They added that FBR has already prepared PC1 for the projects under the feasibility report of World Bank, while the cost of project was estimated at $20 million.

The basic purpose of these projects is to improve the automation system to modernise the department with international standards.
