Director Muhammad Saleem to be made new DG of Customs Intelligence

ISLAMABAD: Outgoing Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Lutfullah Virk has suggested the name of Director Customs Intelligence Headquarters Muhammad Saleem for next DG of the intelligence unit, it is learnt.

It may be mentioned here that Muhammad Saleem has been performing his duties as a collector in Karachi and he is known as a honest and hardworking officer in the department.

Sources said that Saleem had also been appointed as director at Customs Intelligence on the suggestion of the DG Lutfullah from the post of collector.

The sources added that post of the DG covers 21 scale, while Saleem is BS-20 officer, besides informing that Saleem would be promoted to BS-21 scale and assigned task as DG of Customs Intelligence. They revealed that Chairman Federal Board of Revenue has also showed satisfaction on the name of Muhammad Saleem for the post.

DG Lutfullah Virk retired from service after performing his job for 34 years.
