RTO Multan collects Rs 21,993m in four months of FY 2015-16

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Multan has collected Rs 21,993 million under the heads of different taxes in the first quarter of the current fiscal year while Rs. 17383 million  were collected during the same period year.

The statistics of the RTO Multan show an increase of 26 percent in tax collection during the first four months of this year as compared to the previous year.

As statistical figures reveal that from July 2015 to October 2015, the RTO Multan collected Rs 21,993 million under the heads of income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty (FED).

The statistical data also indicates that the income tax of Rs 9496 million, sales tax of Rs 12,317 million whereas Rs 180 million under the head of FED has been collected till now.

The overall tax collection target of RTO Multan was Rs 21,681 million and in contrast with it the office has collected Rs 21,993 million during this quarter showing an increase of 1.4 percent.

The better revenue collection against the fixed targets exhibits improvement in tax collection in the next quarter of this fiscal year.
