Customs Court adjourns 17 cases on Saturday, grants bail to smuggling suspect

LAHORE: In the Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, at least 17 cases were scheduled on Saturday.
In the special court of Customs Taxation and Anti smuggling, a total 17 cases were heard in which court proceeded on many cases while few were adjourned without any development.
Customs Court also granted a bail in a case of alleged smuggling. According to details available to Customs Today an accused Abdul Rehman applied for a pre arrest bail in alleged smuggling case where the court after hearing his lawyer’s arguments approved his bail against guarantee of cash.
The Customs Court adjourned pre-arrest bails of four accused in cases of narcotics which was registered against two persons while they were taking heroin from Azad Kashmir to Lahore with them.
Cases scheduled for hearing on Saturday including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. Court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on four different cases on the day.
