Excise Kasur recovers Rs 7.95 billion from property tax defaulters

LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department Kasur has sped up its campaign against property tax defaulters.

Sources told Customs Today that Excise and Taxation Officer Kasur Malik Aslam constituted a special team to check property tax defaulters.

These teams has sealed 45 properties that include restaurants, auto workshop, markets, a solar plant, shops etc.

Sources said that during the ongoing campaign against property tax defaulters, the department recovered Rs 7.95 billion tax till October 30. Excise and Taxation Officer Kasur Malik Aslam issued strictly directions to officials, saying that there will be no compromise with tax defaulters. No pressure is acceptable. Excise Kasur has decided to impose one percent penalty on defaulters of the property tax.
