PERTH: The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Wednesday.
The Australian dollar rose to a 2-day high of 0.7066 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday’s closing value of 0.7030.
Against the euro, the yen and the Canadian dollar, the aussie advanced to 1.5205, 86.78 and 0.9361 from yesterday’s closing quotes of 1.5250, 86.57 and 0.9330, respectively.
If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.72 against the greenback, 1.50 against the euro, 88.50 against the yen and 0.94 against the loonie.
