Japanese govt hails Pakistan’s economic growth

ISLAMABAD: The Japanese government and businessmen have shown confidence over the improving economy of Pakistan and predict potential growth for future.

Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry, Tsuneo Kitamura expressed these views while addressing at a dinner hosted by Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Hiroshi Inomata for participants of 5th Japan-Pakistan Government Business Joint Dialogue here.

The representatives of different chambers of commerce and industries from across the country attended the dinner. Tsuneo Kitamura said the dialogue provided a common platform to Japanese and Pakistani businessmen to sit together and form a strategy to further enhance bilateral trade and business between Japan and Pakistan.

He said the documents finalized after the meeting would help enhance trade and investment besides strengthening the business relations between the two countries.

Pakistan, he said, was a country of 180 million which was playing a key role in its development and progress, adding, Japanese could join hands with Pakistani brethren in each and every difficulty.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, Japan-Pakistan Business Co-operation Committee (JPBCC), Teruo Asada appreciated the Japanese Envoy for bringing together the businessmen of two countries.

Terming Pakistan an important country for Japan, he said, it was time to make new agreements to further enhance cooperation in trade and business between two countries.
