VIENNA: The basket of crude oil used as a benchmark indicator by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC rose to $42.33 a barrel, the OPEC Secretariat said.
OPEC said the price of its basket, which includes 12 varieties of crude increased by 0.4 percent on Tuesday, compared with the closing price at the previous session.
December delivery of Brent crude opened at $47.15 a barrel at the start of Wednesday’s trading on the futures market, with a decrease of 0.7 percent from the previous session’s close.
