MOSCOW: The Eurasian Economic Union simplified the procedure of export and import of precious stones and metals. The Eurasian Economic Commission reported.
According to it, the decision of EEC Board, which facilitated a number of non-tariff regulations, came into force the day before. In particular, licensing of precious stones export from the customs territory of the EEU has been canceled. Now, import and export of precious stones and metals is under the state control.
“The regulations on the import and export of precious stones, precious metals and raw materials containing precious metals, do not include requirement on determining by an applicant the norms of product yield of such goods for customs declaration. Accepted methods are non-binding. Earlier on, the procedure of determining the product yield rate was mandatory,” EEC says.
