APBUMA demands for immediate clearance of refunds claims‏

MULTAN: All Pakistan Bed Sheets Upholstery and Manufacturing Association demanded the government provide immediate relief to protect textile industry.

President APBUMA Syed Asim Shah stated that the government should announce textile relief package in order to rescue the industry. He also demanded the government disburse all sorts of pending refunds . He said that textile export of country is decreasing day by day and reasons behind these reducing exports are government anti-textile policy.

He said that textile is the backbone of country economy and government is ignoring this sector at all but government halted all refunds claims of textile including sales tax, income tax, direct on local taxes and levies.

Due to non-disbursed refunds claims business community huge amount investment are embargo and further investment in this sector are not coming due to unfavorable atmosphere he expressed.

He demanded to Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to announce relief package for textile sector and direct Federal Board of Revenue to permit duty free import of machinery for industry and also raw material for the survival of this industry.
