Mobile smuggling: Customs Court approves physical remand of the accused

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs taxation and Anti Smuggling has approved three days physical remand of the accused arrested by Customs Intelligence in Mobile smuggling.

According to details available to Customs Today three alleged smugglers were booked by the Custom Intelligence while they were making an attempt to smuggle huge quantity of mobile phones from Lahore to Peshawar. Customs Intelligence also recovered 330 costly mobile phones from their possession. They were trying smuggling these mobiles through a truck.

Accused Naseer Khan Afghani, Mukhtar Ahmad and Humayon were presented before the customs Court judge Ameer Muhammad Khan who issued three days physical remand for further investigation and handed over them to Customs Investigation and prosecution team.

Accused Naseer Khan is a resident of Afghanistan and Mukhtar and Humayon are residents of Peshawar while it as also revealed during investigation that Naseer Khan is illegally living in Pakistan and have no permit of residence in Pakistan.
