FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Beelam ur Ramzan has issued final date for hearing of five pending cases involving duty/taxes to the tune of Rs 7.992 million.
According to the details, the last hearing notice has been issued to four accused person through the Mianwali Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO), directing them to appear before the court on November 29, 2015.
It man mention here that ASO had impounded a Hino Truck involving Rs 1.367 million duty/taxes, while the accused person in this case is Afsar Khan who has been issued notice to attend the hearing.
During another operation, ASO impounded a Toyota Land Cruiser involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1.97 million and nominated Shamshair as accused person in the case.
The additional collector also issued final hearing notice to Munir Ahmad who was found involved in tax evasion of Rs 2.193 million while importing Toyota Hiace ambulance van. However, Muhammad Habibi Khan nominated in a non-duty paid truck involving Rs 1.36 duty/taxes, has also been issued notice.
In a different case, the adjudication has severed notice on Irfan Abbas nominated in non-duty paid vehicle’s case involving Rs 1.09 million. The suspect has been asked to appear before the court on January 22, 2016. The case had been detected by Sargodha ASO.
