Bulls roar back as KSE-100 index gains 167pts till midday

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange Tuesday came out of the bearish trend by gaining 166.85 points to reach 34113.26 points level till midday.

The market recorded the highest trading level of 34170.05 points and lowest level of 33946.41 points, with the total volume of 95,279,040 shares. As many as 293 companies were active; of which 196 advanced, 82 declined and 15 remained unchanged.

Miscellaneous was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,843,400shares. It was followed by oil & gas marketing companies with a total traded volume of 10,851,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pace (Pak) Ltd. with a volume of 21,019,500 and price per share of 9.06 ( 0.45), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 7,484,000 of price per share of 41.40 (0.77), Shabbir Tiles with a volume 3,705,500 of price per share of 9.90 (0.20).

The top three advancers were Shezan Inter. XD with price per share 745.00 (32.00), Island Textile with price per share of 794.99 (14.88) and Indus Motor Co XD share of 1100.00 (14.33).

The top three decliners were Exide (PAK) with price per share of 960.01 (-19.99), Pak Gum & Chem. with price per share of 142.03 (-7.47) and IGI Insurance per share of 259.00 (-3.42).
