Rs5.4m scam: NAB arrests PHA official

PESHAWAR: Official of Provincial Housing Authority Farhad Khan was arrested by NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.

As per details the accused Farhad Khan was posted in Land Acquisition Section of Provincial Housing Authority, Peshawar, The accused being a clerk assisted and abetted Land Acquisition Collector in this illegal Land Scam and withdrew an amount of Rs.5, 400,000/- as cash from the official account of Land Acquisition Collector (PHA).

According to NAB officials, Farhad Khan was involved in abetting, assisting and providing support to the main accused Naveed Qadir Ex-Land Acquisition Collector (PHA) in embezzlement of more than Rs. 400 million in acquisition of land in Moza Darwaza Nathiagali.

The accused was also involved in distribution of illegal gratification / kickbacks to Govt officials along-with accused Naveed Qadir (LAC) PHA Peshawar, who is presently on judicial custody in central jail Peshawar.

The accused will be produced before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand.
