FBR to achieve target of 1 million tax returns until November 30

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to hit the milestone of one million tax returns until November 30, it has learnt here.

According to details, the number of tax returns filer was 7,20,000 till June 30, 2013; however, it has  increased gradually up to 900,000 until October 2015.

Sources added that the FBR has directed its thinktank to introduce new legal methods of generating tax revenue so that more and more bring into tax net. Sources further told that FBR yearly growth in terms of revenue collection was 3% till 30 June 2015, while FBR collected almost 33 percent increased in the revenue collection from 31 July 2013 to 15 November 2015.

Sources said that this was the result of fruitful tax reforms and strong strategies.
