ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has ordered the Finance Ministry, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Establishment Division to upgrade 40 superintendents and principal appraisers of the FBR Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad from Grade-16 to 17.
The FBR has registered inter-court appeal against the order. The FBR has taken a stance that the order will affect its managerial structure. The hearing is expected in the next month. The FBR’s appeal has disappointed the superintendents and appraisers. They had named upgrading policy as discriminatory in which they objected that executive superintendents, under the government’s policy, have been promoted to Grade-19 last year.
