Islamabad Customs collects 73pc more revenue than target

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Islamabad has surpassed the set target for October by collecting Rs 1.06 billion in the form of duties and taxes.

As per details, MCC Islamabad set Rs 616.87 million target for October, while it collected Rs 1.06 billion, 73 percent more than the target. The MCC managed to collect 87 percent revenue more than the corresponding period of last year.

Moreover, MCC has collected Rs 361.09 million as customs duty that is Rs 125.57 million more than the set target of Rs 235.52, while during same period of last year department collected only Rs 173.09 million.

It is important to mention here that MCC collected Rs 4.245.12 billion against the set target of Rs 1.861 billion during the first quarter of current fiscal year that shows MCC Islamabad has remained ahead of its monthly targets during current fiscal year.

The MCC collected revenue of Rs 530 million during July, Rs 778.21 million in August and Rs 1636.92 million in September.
