PARIS: Rhodia, a French manufacturer of synthetic fibres and polymers and a part of the Solvay Group, has launched its bio-degradable polyamide 6.6 yarn named Amni Soul Eco to worldwide consumers at ITMA Milan 2015 in hall 8, booth D105.

The yarn also offers other properties to consumers like soft touch, easy-care, breathability, extreme comfort, easy washing, moisture management, etc along with environment friendliness. The product is also Oeko-tex (standard 100, class 1) certified.

Commenting on the product, Renato Boaventura, CEO of Solvay Group’s Fibras Global Business Unit said, “Amni Soul Eco reinforces our commitment to sustainability. We’re very excited with this worldwide launch. Besides being a recyclable fibre, it’s biodegradable. It is a sustainable solution for discharge and is perfect for the environment.”

This sustainable innovation has also been recognised by two awards – the Kurt Pulitzer Prize, awarded by ABIQUIM (a chemical industry representative association) and an award from the American Chamber of Commerce.

Rhodia is also showcasing Emana Denim at the fair that offers skin care benefits, breathability, freshness and comfort to denim garments. (MCJ)
