ANF seized mega cache of Hashish weighing 4.2 ton from Qilla Abdullah

ISLAMABAD: ANF while conducting 7 operations against drug trafficking seized huge cache of drugs comprising 4.2 Ton Hashish, 1 Kg Heroin, Heroin Filled Capsules and 600 Gram Ice (Amphetamine), while arrested 7 persons and impounded 2 vehicles.

ANF Quetta while carrying out a successful intelligence led operation, seized 4218 Kg Hashish from desolate site in Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah. According to details, the drug was concealed in a seasonal stream covered with dense bushes situated in the mountainous terrain for away from the populated area. As per preliminary information, the drug consignment was placed at a cache site for handing over to some other narcotics gang for final disposal to some foreign destination across the sea. Drug was stuffed in large number of plastic bags.

ANF Rawalpindi Airport Team during routine profiling at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, held a passenger named Khalid Mehmood resident of Gujrat who confessed of having gulped Heroin filled capsules. He was to take off for Italy by PIA Flight No. PK-749. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi Road Check Team recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from an accused named Ali Ahmed resident of Peshawar, who was taken into custody from Sohawa Bus Stop, G.T Road, Rawalpindi. As per reports, he intended to deliver drug to some local drug peddler of the area. Yet in another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested 2 drug traffickers identified as Hadayat Zaman and Akhter Shabab, residents of Nowshehra along with 3 Kg Hashish, which was found in their personal possession. They were arrested from Attock city, where they arrived to deliver drug to some local drug peddler.

ANF Lahore, Faisalabad Airport Team detained a passenger named Sabir Ahmed resident of Sargodha at Faisalabad Airport and recovered 600 Gram Ice (Amphetamine) concealed in his passenger bag. He was boarding for Jeddah by Air Arabian Flight.

ANF Peshawar on pursuance of aninformation, stopped a car near PSO Pump, Faisal Movers Bus Stand, Peshawar city and while conducting a search, recovered 1 Kg Heroin concealed beneath the seat of the car.  A person on board named Moeen-ud-Din resident of Khayber Agency was also taken into custody.  As per initial information, he was heading towards Chakwal for delivery of Heroin. In another operation, ANF Peshawar Road Check Team intercepted a Suzuki Mehran Car near New Toll Plaza, Kohat and recovered 12 Kg Hashish hidden in fuel tank of the car. A person on named Eidat Khan resident of Orakzai Agency was also taken into custody.

All cases have been registered at ANF Police Stations and further investigation is underway.
