KSE bids to recoups some overnight losses till midday

KARACHI: In bid to recoup overnight losses, the stocks gained 21.05 points to reach 33753.96 points level.

The market recorded the highest trading level of 33872.33 points and lowest level of 33733.91 points, with the total volume of 48,487,460 shares. As many as 269 companies were active; of which 107 advanced, 139 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

Oil & gas marketing companies was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 17,061,600 shares. It was followed by power generation & distribution with a total traded volume of 14,077,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 13,333,500 and price per share of 7.62 (0.01), Engro Polymer with a volume 6,456,500 of price per share of 11.84 (0.85), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 5,629,000 of price per share of 39.21 (0.50).

The top three advancers were Ferozsons (Lab) with price per share 966.99 (40.11), Ghandhara Ind. with price per share of 402.02 (19.14) and Sanofi-Aventis share of 650.00 (15.45).

The top three decliners were Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1209.00 (-56.31), Exide (PAK) with price per share of 980.00 (-50.98) and Akzo Nobel Pak. per share of 265.00 (-12.96).
