Sialkot ASO seizes four bags of smuggled black tea

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized smuggled black tea during an action.

As per details, Sialkot ASO raided the warehouse of a private goods transport company and recovered four bags filled with black tea.

The officials asked the owner of the warehouse to produce documents regarding the legal import of the tea, but he could not; therefore, the customs officials seized the bags considering them as smuggled items.

The officials said that the estimated value of the confiscated black tea is almost Rs 61,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 40,000.

Inspector Masnsha has taken the action against the smuggled black tea in a raid along with other members of ASO.
