BOSTON: A Boston man who was caught smuggling heroin and cocaine into Maine last year has been found guilty of a drug charge.
A federal jury convicted 27-year-old Jean Valbrun Tuesday of possession with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine.
Valbrun was pulled over by police in Auburn on March 16, 2014. Police say a search of his vehicle resulted in the discovery of 225 grams of heroin and 106 grams of cocaine.
Authorities had tracked him by intercepting phone calls through a wiretap investigation into a drug ring operation.
Valbrun is facing up to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $1 million. His sentencing date was not immediately available.
