Midday: Bearish trend keeps stocks in negative zone as KSE sheds 90pts

KARACHI: The bearish trend kept the stocks in negative zone as the Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark KSE-100 index lost another 89.87 points to reach 32989.50 level till midday on Friday.

The market recorded the highest trading level of 33132.67 points and lowest level of 32988.05 points, with the total volume of 57,189,530 shares. As many as 249 companies were active; of which 89 advanced, 147 declined and 13 remained unchanged.

Oil & gas marketing companies was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 11,743,500 shares. It was followed by cable & electrical goods with a total traded volume of 7,335,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Ghani Gases Ltd XD with a volume of 2,666,500 and price per share of 31.00 (1.18), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume 2,643,500 of price per share of 7.30 (0.01), Pervez Ahmed with a volume 1,698,000 of price per share of 2.03 (0.01).

The top three advancers were K.S.B.Pumps with price per share 253.00 (12.01), Pak Engineering with price per share of 189.29 (9.01) and AKD CapitalXD share of 178.63 (8.50).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pak XD with price per share of 8600.00 (-50.00), Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1053.10 (-46.35) and Ghandhara Ind. per share of 344.69 (-18.14).
