It is pertinent to mention that CDA has earlier decided to upgrade all existing water filtration plants and allocated Rs. 16.67 million for the up-gradation and maintenance operation of water filtration plants in the city.

Moreover, survey for identification of sites to install more water filtration plants particularly in densely populated residential areas and busy shopping centres of the city has also been completed and work on the installation of new water filtration plants would be started soon after the completion of codal formalities.

CDA management has directed the water management wing to complete the up-gradation and maintenance of remaining filtration plants on immediate basis and utilize all available resources for early completion of the project.

CDA management has reiterated that the authority would ensure the provision of clean drinking water in the city and will take all possible measures in this regard. Daily complaints for provision of water through tanker service have decreased and the regular supply mechanism has been made more effective.
