ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made a net collection of more than Rs 229 billion during November 2015 against net collection of Rs 180 billion made during corresponding period of last year, 2014, showing an increase of 27 percent.

As per provisional figures, the target for the month has therefore been achieved. In its statement FBR said that it is expected that the collection would further increase when the final figures are received. The revenue collection trend during November 2015 further reinforces, consolidates and even surpasses the marked improvement shown in the first month of the second quarter of the current year over the trend in the first quarter of the current financial year and augurs well for the efforts of FBR towards achievement of the assigned revenue targets.
