ANDHRA PARDESH: The Araku Valley police seized about 460 kg of dry ganja and arrested three inter-State smugglers in two separate incidents when the drug peddlers were transporting the contraband in the boot of a Honda City car and a SUV on Thursday.
All the arrested belong to Delhi. Inspector of Araku Valley, Ch. Simhadri Naidu said in the first incident, they intercepted an SUV and recovered 380 kg of ganja. However, the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot. In another incident in the evening, a police team intercepted a Honda City car and seized 80 kgs of dry ganja and arrested three persons. All the arrested were booked under NDPS Act and investigation is on.
