CAMBRIDGE: Waterloo Regional Police say they seized 26 kg of marijuana, 2 kg of cocaine, and various other drugs and items from two properties in Cambridge.
The seizure came following the arrest of a Cambridge man earlier in the week, in a Mississauga parking lot.
According to police, the man faces eight counts of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and one separate count of drug possession.
A second man allegedly escaped police in a rental vehicle, colliding with a police cruiser as he did so.
Police have not yet been able to identify that man.
About a kilogram of marijuana was found at the scene of the arrest, along with more than 200 grams of cocaine and three Percocet pills, with a combined value estimated at $14,000.
Further investigation led police to the two address in Cambridge, where the allegedly found 26 kilograms of marijuana, 2 kilograms of cocaine, and smaller amount of drugs including heroin and psilocybin.
Also seized were more than $1,000 in cash, as well as digital scales, three safes, a money counter and other items.
